Respect Yourself Campaign Team and Common Induction Standards

Helen Fielden, of the Respect Yourself Campaign Team has looked at their Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) Level 1 course and mapped across where the training meets the Common Induction Standards. This now appears on the back of the certificates awarded for completing the course, so can be used in evidence towards the Common Induction Standards Certificates.

How Respect Yourself RSE Level 1 contributes to Warwickshire Common Induction Standards:

Standard 1

1.1  The training explores the right of young people with learning difficulties to access contraception, support and advice and the impact of religion on young people accessing contraception and relationships and sex education

1.4 Participants consider how confidentiality affects the way they work with young people and how they explain confidentiality to them.

Standard 8

8.1 Participants identify local services working with young people.

8.2 Participants develop their understanding of the roles and responsibilities of other agencies working with young people.

8.3 Participants consider how to make appropriate referrals.

The team are now looking at all of the other training they offer, one course at a time.

This will be a great help for new starters in evidencing the Common Induction Standards.
