Respect Yourself Campaign Team

The Respect Yourself Campaign Team oversees the implementation of Warwickshire's Teenage Pregnancy Strategy and support partners to address relationship and sexual health issues, access to contraceptive and sexual health services and support for young parents. The current Action Plan has the following objectives:

To prioritise prevention activity in hotspot wards and with vulnerable young people, whilst providing universal provision to agreed national quality standards

To prioritise support for young parents ensuring increased synergy with partners to overcome social exclusion and rural isolation taking account of risk factors

Warwickshire's Teenage Pregnancy Strategy has two main targets:

1.  To reduce the rate of under 18 (15-17 years) conceptions

2. To reduce the social exclusion experienced by young parents with a specific target to encourage and support 60% of young parents into education, employment and training.

Warwickshire's Respect Yourself Partnership is a multi-agency partnership responsible for the development of the Warwickshire Teenage Pregnancy Strategy and to ensure that young people's sexual health needs are addressed. The Board have a commitment to ensuring that local partners are engaged to provide information, advice and guidance regarding both prevention and support to teenagers across Warwickshire.
