Poet's Corner - competition for nature lovers

A local environmental group is running a poetry competition with a chance to win £50.

The Warwickshire branch of The Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) is holding the competition to celebrate the wonderful countryside in the area.

If you are a budding poet and think you can capture the essence of rural Warwickshire, then send your poems to:

Terms and conditions:

This competition is open to all. Multiple entries are accepted. Entries are free

The poem can be any style, but no longer than one typed side of A4 paper. Each poem must be given a title.

Please include name and address on the back of the poem as all entries will be judged anonymously. If entries are to be returned, please include a SAE. Poems must be the original work of the author and copyright remains with the author.

There is a £50 prize for entrants in two categories - 18's and under, and over 18's. Judging will take place on Wednesday 31 March and winners will be notified by post before the prize-giving which will take place on Friday 23 April.
