Food Strategy Group mapping exercise
Mapping Exercise This intelligent and versatile database has been put together by the NHS Warwickshire Public Health Department with the supervision of the Food Strategy Group to gather all excellent initiatives going on across Warwickshire in one central and manageable engine. Keen service providers around the county kindly sent us the details of each and every activity, which were categorized under Event, Programme, Training, Breastfeeding Café, Young Parents Group and Campaign to facilitate searching. Along with categories, deprivation level of the area where the service is provided as well as health aspects covered by the activity are analyzed and included in the spreadsheet, offering the public and health professionals more search criterion options. This live, easy-to-manage, complete and comprehensive database will provide a useful source of information not only to partners, who can easily map activities and identify gaps, plan future interventions and targets, but also to the public, who will easily access this online database on the NHS website and pick a service relevant to them. If you would like to contribute to this exercise by letting us know what other kind of initiatives are taking place in your locality, please complete the blank form attached and return to Fran Poole on francine.poole@nhs.net. If you have any queries, do not hesitate to contact Fran Poole or Mariana Bucaneve on 01926 493 491. The attached image shows the database.
