CWDC
CWDC's vision is to create a world-class workforce for children, young people and families.
CWDC exists to improve the lives of children, young people, their families and carers by ensuring that all people working with them have the best possible training, qualifications, support and advice. It also helps children and young people's organisations and services to work together better so that the child is at the centre of all services.
Ian Threlfall is CWDC's Regional Development Manager (RDM) for the West Midlands region. CWDC work in the regions has been focused on building networks and forums to engage with key employers, organisations and strategic bodies linked to children and young people’s workforce development.

Regional managers have been involved in establishing the Workforce Strategic Partnership Programme (WSPP) across the regions by fostering third sector signup to the initiative.
Support has also been offered to Local Authorities help develop their integrated children’s workforce strategies. The advisory and support role of the Regional managers will be central to the workforce reform agenda and aid in launching the concept of building ‘one’ children’s workforce for the future.
