Youth and Community Work
The highly active Youth and Community team at Coventry and Warwickshire YMCA work with hundreds of young people every week out of its two top youth club venues, The Tooth in Willenhall and People's Place in Stoke Aldermoor.
The young people who come along to these venues can experience a range of courses and activities designed to stimulate and challenge them, allows them to take on responsibilities and interact with their peers, as well as gaining a sense of achievement.
Courses at the Tooth and People's Place include motoring skills, first aid, self esteem, music and technology, citizenship and much more, with a curriculum designed to work in tandem with local schools. These courses run primarily during term time, and have proved highly successful in recent years.
The Tooth and People's Place also run a range of fun activities and outings for young people, ranging from football and fishing to paintballing. A comprehensive programme of events runs during the summer months, in order to compliment the term-time activities during school holidays.
