Commissioning training - a quick guide

Conduct an audit of your training needs so that you know exactly what you want.

Organise a sub group to write a brief. This should include, what you want the training to be about, what you want from it and any other relevant details eg length, timing, accreditation, specific needs, etc.

Contact a number of trainers or organisations and select several who may be appropriate to deliver in your area.

Arrange to interview trainers or view some training. Contact other people who have used them.

When the training is completed, evaluate and review its effectiveness.

Accrediting Bodies and Qualifications

Accredited qualifications are those that have been reviewed by the regulators against specific quality criteria to meet identified needs.

Once qualifications meet these criteria they are placed on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF)
